Korle Bu to Conduct Mass Burial for 320 Unclaimed Bodies on January 18, 2026

The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has announced a planned mass burial for 320 unclaimed, unknown, and unidentified bodies on January 18, 2026. The announcement was made in a statement issued on December 24, 2025.

The burial is due to the mortuary being congested and over‑stretched. Relatives, next of kin, or anyone with an interest in any of the bodies are urged to contact KBTH management within 21 days of the notice (by January 18, 2026) to make necessary arrangements.
